Assessing a Colleges academic rigor and strength: Allegheny, Guilford and Hampshire

One of my main concerns is choosing a school that has strong academics.
Also if anyone has any insights on any of these 3 schools or knows somewhere I can look for more that would be greatly appreciated.
Right now, Im interested in studying Philosophy and Sociology with a bit of environmental studies/science.

I am transferring in as a sophomore for either 6 or 7 more semesters.

I got into a number of schools as a transfer:
UVM, Kenyon, Oberlin, Earlham, New College Florida but ive narrowed it down to the 3 listed in title.
I got a 34 on my ACT.

MY daughter is interested in both Guildford and Hampshire. I don’t know much about Allegheny. The Fiske Guide has been a good resource for us for going a bit beyond numbers in understanding the schools. If you are still looking at G and H I would be glad to know what you have found out. As you may know, Hampshire was still accepting anyone they had originally “admitted” – it’s probably not to late to go there. And Guilford has either rolling admissions or an August deadline – quite unusual. //
