Assign Recommenders dilemma.

<p>Hello
I am a Syrian student who graduated high school in July/2013.
I am now in the middle of application process with the University of Rochester.
the undergraduate admission office asked me to submit the common application and I am facing a real dilemma with this due to the following reason.</p>

<p>the common application requires me to invite a consular and a teacher and this is simply not possible in my case. In Syria we have a national exam in order to determine the student ability to whether attend college or not and this exam is really like the SAT exam in the US.
you can pick the books and prepare for it in home <em>home-schooling</em> and that's what I did.
so basically I have no 1 to invite and I can't send the common application without these invitations.
do you think the consular office at UR can solve this matter or they can't modify the common application form??</p>

<p>So were you basically home-schooled? If so, I believe your parents/whoever home-schooled or supervised you can fill out the counselor forms. As for teachers, I’m not sure. You should contact the undergrad admissions department of the U of Rochester and explain your case just to be sure though. Good luck!</p>
