I'm wondering if anyone on this board knows much about it, is or was majoring in it, has a friend in the dept, etc. Any information/opinions about the major would be great. Thanks

I'm not an Astronomy concentrators, but one thing I did hear about from Astronomy concentrators I've met at Harvard is that it is very easy to find opportunities for research, because so few students choose that concentration. Only 6 students concentrated in it last year (though another 11 took it as part of a joint concentration), so if you're interested in doing research that's an advantage. (The research resources at Harvard are apparently very good, though I can't speak knowledgeably about them).

This is the page out of the handbook, including required courses:

Sorry I can't tell you more.

I don't know much about A&A as a concentration, but I do know that non-concentrators can benefit from the department.

All students can take a quick class + get access to the telescope on top of the science center. And non-concentrators can enroll in Astronomy tutorials (I know a Physics concentrator who's doing this + claims it's a better deal than concentrating in Astronomy + Astrophysics).
