At what schools does interest play a large factor in?

I know that when I visited Harvard the admissions officers said that interest did not play a roll in the decision making process...
does anyone know for the rest of these schools

Brown University
Columbia
Cornell University
Dartmouth
Duke
Georgetown University
Johns Hopkins
Northwestern University
University of Pennsylvania
Princeton University
Stanford University
Washington University in St. Louis
Yale University
Tufts University
Vanderbilt University
Emory
UC-Berkeley
University of Michigan
University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill
University of Rochester
University of Virginia

You can get the schools’ response to this question by looking up their common data set online or looking here for what might be a less reliable report (that is, I cannot assure you of its timeliness or accuracy):

Type in your college. Look down the left hand column for “selection of students” and click on “more factors.”

thanks so much man!
