How difficult is it to get in to the Athletic Training program at MSU? It seems like it is a great program. I have a junior in high school son, interested in Athletic Training and it seems that most programs are very selective, often selecting students after their freshman year. Could anyone give me specifics on the MSU program?
I have a friend in AT at MSU. It’s a very good program, and students get to work directly with the varsity sports teams. My friend is working with the football team, which is pretty awesome for him to be involved with the current #2 team in the nation. I am not super familiar with the process, but I know the AT program is part of the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Education. It’s a 3 year program, and they admit ~20 people a year. Last year my friend said they had about 40 apply but the number varies. There is also an interview for as well.
Hey im a senior in highschool right now. Do you think the college you get your athletic training degree really matters since I would be only getting a undergraduate degree? Im deciding whether or not to go back to jersey after i graduate from college and was wondering if it matters if I went through MSU’s program or WMU/CMU/GVSU/etc.? Does the caliber of college really make me marketable in a sense?
