Athletics Thread

Well, i know most of y'all on CC are more academically inclined but, i'm appealing to the athletes.

What sport do you play? How often do you work out? etc...........

Used to play football…but I weigh 130. sadface.jpg

Try soccer then, You don’t need too weight too much to play. I’m 130, lean muscle, and it works out but, i would get raped if i played football. I wold build more muscle but, i don’t like it slowing me down. You know? Too much muscle would make it a bit awkward playing soccer.

I played soccer until I was about 10, when I started getting kicked out of games for being to violent and tackling people. That’s why I started to play football lol

lol, i got so many yellow cards for being too violent. Soccer players are such pussies.

I run cross country, but our season just ended. We won state, but crashed and burned at nationals. We just got off our break today, and now we’re getting into base training for track.

^^ Agreed lol. They walk around school thinking they’re the **** when at least 3 of em go down for “injuries” every single game.

I ran varsity track as a sprinter and played basketball and some football in my free time, but now I just do charity runs and the occasional half-marathon. My roommates are really big on soccer, but I’m not all that good haha, so I’ll tag along only if they’re just passing a ball around or playing a friendly pick up game.

Also, I’ve been wanting to try parkour or even freerunning. I’m already pretty athletic and I’m pretty good on picking up the vaults and climbs, it’s just that I haven’t had enough time to practice any of it.

Track!!! I throw shot put and discus actually, but I don’t look like the typical girl thrower lol. I run in my free time sometimes to but I don’t compete in running events.

I play basketball.

Any lacrosse players on here?

I used to play lacrosse until the team I played for ended. I played goalie. You?

^ Nothing yet, I’m starting this spring, but I want to be an Attackman

I play baseball, basketball, and soccer. Right now, in basketball, we are practicing 5 days a week!

^^ You’re going to have to get pretty good at protecting the ball if you’re just starting. Playing attack is a lot more difficult than just shooting. Probably if you’re just starting (and there are kids who have been playing) you’ll get put at middie. That’s pretty much just running a lot.

What are the rules of lacrosse? I never understood the game.

Basketball.

I always wanted to dunk so after 8 weeks of plyometrics and weight lifting I am now able to throw down! :)

I play starcraft.

oh and i also run

Pretty much all you need to know is that the objective is to put the ball in the other team’s net. There are rules on how many players you can have on offense and defense at a given time, which would explain why players stop at midfield. There are a lot of rules on where and when you can hit. If a shot goes out of bounds behind the net, possession goes to whoever is closest to the line. If the ball goes out of bounds on a pass, possession changes.

Know that and you shouldn’t be too confused during a game.

Mid sounds good to me, I like running xD
