Hey guys I was just accepted off Cornell’s spring wait list and I have no idea what to think. I had planned on going to Rice in the fall, can anyone give some advice about the similarities and differences between the two? Are there any downsides to attending starting in spring? Thanks!
What are you planning to study? Is there a difference in the cost and does it matter to you? What are your goals professionally?
Frankly, these are two such different schools that it shouldn’t be hard to differentiate between them. Is the problem that you are on the fence about what you care about in a program? What are your priorities?
I plan to study English literature, which Cornell has a much higher ranking program in. I have not received my financial aid yet, but that might be a factor as well.
I want to be happy wherever I go, so I suppose academics will play a major part in my decision but will not be the deciding factor if I do not love the campus. I think it will come down to my visit.
