Pinning is okay but can get uncomfortable and there can be arguments of where to pin. 
Target has camisoles that will fit the bill perfectly. If it is the wrap dress I am thinking of (absolutely adorable!) the camisole would be perfect. Get the one that is stretchy, no shelf-bra, no adjustable straps (brand ‘xhilarati*n intimates’ 90% nylon/10% lycra.). It will nearly disappear under the dress - except the part that is providing modesty :). They run REALLY small. A medium looks like it would fit a 10yo. It is supposed to be snug so it doesn’t add bulk under what you are wearing. I have a black and white one that I wear under a couple of sweaters or tops that are a bit too sheer for my taste…</p>
