Hey, so maybe you guys could go bicker about Hopkins and Georgetown on THEIR forums, where you’d have lots of company?

…wishing CC had a “like” button, MommaJ…

Just another example of other DC area universities overshadowing AU, on their own turf!!

I didn’t know other “DC area universities” had to come onto American University’s page in order to try to “overshadow” us. Because that job is already done, right? Go ■■■■■ on other university pages in order to compensate more for your how stupid you are.

you guys should keep arguing about it because eventually one of you will win.

But it is much fun to bait the Georgetown supporters. They always cover up their insecurities about Georgetown’s relative lack of respect among top academic institutions with bravado and bluster. Ask them, for example, why Georgetown has never been admitted into the Association of American Universities?

The truths that there is not a huge difference between the faculties at AU, GW, or Georgetown.

To the original poster:

I’m at AU right now.

The hierarchy of schools overall in DC (to agree with earlier posters) is undoubtedly
- Georgetown
- GW
- AU
except John Hopkins is revered as having an amazing medical program and changes the order a bit.

The campus is very diverse, and all walks of life go there. I am a first generation student from a lower-middle class background. Ten percent of the class of 2015 admitted last year are first generation.

There are wealthy kids, yes. AU needs someone to pay in full as 18-19% of university income goes towards financial aid for others. [cited: page 7 of <a href=“Error retrieving uploaded document”>Error retrieving uploaded document][/url]

There are plenty of middle class kids. Don’t worry.
