Hey guys, just wondering if I could get some comparison between Alabama and Auburn accounting programs. I know Alabama has got a great reputation, but I know that Auburn is pretty solid too, with their 88% CPA exam pass rate. I prefer Auburn over Alabama in terms of the overally feeling. I'm just thinking that if you really apply yourself at either place, you'll turn out ok. Thoughts? Thanks.

I think your last thought is a good one. Both are good schools that I’m sure have lots of on campus recruiting (check out each schools career services for details), so either would make a good choice.

So apparently where you go to school doesn’t really matter that much for accounting? (especially compared to high finance/investment banking?). I read parts of taxguy’s thread and he mentioned this, but I don’t remember if it was for a solid accounting job or Big 4 jobs included.

I’m considering UA and I am thinking about majoring in accounting. I would ideally like to work for a Big Four company after graduation in either Birmingham or Atlanta, but I’d be open to other cities as well.
