<p>The best suggestion would be to follow specific rep guidelines and named pieces outlined in the audition requirements of the school(s) you are targeting.</p>
<p>In the absence of specific named repertoire, I would urge you to work with your current instructor to suggest specific appropriate pieces based on your current level and ability. Another option is to scan the rep posted for peer level programs... there are many "standard" common choices.</p>
<p>Conventional wisdom is to play a lesser piece you can nail than to flub or muddle through a more demanding selection.</p>
