Could anyone share the details on the Elon audition? I hear the day is long, and wondered about the dance call as well.
@deelight - can you remind me what the essay this is about? You have to bring one?
@Dankadon - The Michigan audition confirmation email included an essay prompt for a short essay to bring “in hand” to the audition.
@momma2four, I can’t remember the details of Elon’s dance call, but if you’ve heard the day is LONG, it is. REALLY long. My wife and I became “those people that took a nap in their car”! I THINK that the length is due to the fact that each aspect is done in its own segment, so monologues/songs are not done in the same time slot. But in the end, it was definitely worth it as our daughter is 100% sure Elon is now “home.”

Any Pace or Montclair audition stories? D auditions at Pace this Friday morning and Montclair Sat morning, both on campus.
Hi, my daughter and I went to Pace last weekend. It ran pretty much on schedule 9-1 for MT. If you do the BFA acting audition they cut kids and do a callback same day. We only did MT. Thought everyone was nice. Dance audition was long
Hey! @jbrideau I auditioned for Montclair this weekend at Unifieds and I thought it was a complete blast. The dance call was thought by a student I believe and was a jazz number. Though it was fast it was still really fun. After being taught, we were broken up into groups of 4 to do the combination. If your daughter is a dancer, she’ll have an easy time as I have never taken a dance class and only struggled a little bit with it. Monologues and songs were next. They only asked to see one monologue instead of two and they commended me for picking a monologue that wasn’t so “showy”. I sang my songs and that was pretty much it. The audition ran on time and everyone was super nice and friendly! Break a leg to your daughter!
