Automatic 0 EFC

<p>I was reading that if you make less than 20,000 and are eligible to fill out a 1040ez, you're eligible for a 0 EFC reguardless of assets. Is there a different form you fill out, where you just report your income and not assets?</p>

<p>No same FAFSA. By the way,

The income threshold for the parents of dependent students and for independent students and their spouses is $24,000 or less (for an automatic zero EFC) instead of $49,999 or less (for the simplified EFC calculation), and
• For independent students, those without dependents other than a spouse cannot receive an automatic zero EFC.
