Average financial aid/EFC per school

I swear I saw a thread a while ago with the estimated family contribution/average balance after aid for almost every college on this forum. I can’t find it anymore, if someone finds it can you please paste the link in the comments? Thank you!

It is really best to use each college’s net price calculator.

College Navigator entries give average net price for various family income brackets, but the income brackets are large enough that you really want to use the college’s net price calculator. You may have specific conditions that result in a significantly different net price than the average for your income bracket.

In another thread, you mention that you’re an int’l. If so, then whatever info is on that thread, likely the info wouldn’t apply to an int’l student.

@geekgurl

Average amounts are NOT going to help you. How will you know if you are on the higher end…or lower end of the averages?

You need to look at YOUR financial picture…not the average awards at colleges.

Remember (simple math) averages include folks with LESS than the average as well as more.

I don’t remember that thread being about average amount though, I’m pretty sure it was for income brackets <$40000/yr (which is my family).

Income brackets might help US students determine if they qualify for federal or state grants, but they won’t be much help to an international student. There are a few (5 or 6) colleges that meet need and are need blind for internationals, but they’re difficult to get admitted to. Do you have financial safeties lined up in your home country?

@austinmshauri I guess…colleges I’m applying to in US are my reach anyway. I do have few backups.
