Aviation passion

Here’s[/url">http://www.aabi.aero/programs.html]Here’s a list of programs accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International. Not sure about whether accreditation means anything, but it is a nice list of colleges and their aviation programs.

Harvey Mudd College many years ago had the Bates Aeronautics program in which a handful of students each year learned to fly and got their pilots license. A few became instrument-rated. The program could not be continued for various reasons, but the alumni from the program are strong supporters of the school and aviation. A couple are astronauts. Several other alum have gone on to work in the aviation industry.

The instructors from the program are still involved with HMC, and so I think there is still a strong, albeit informal, interest in teaching and supporting aviation. HMC is very strong academically and very highly ranked in the STEM fields. If you think you might be interested, PM me for more details.
