I got an email this morning!!! i got accepted!!! feels great

I wish they would give you more information on their website

Did u get your Fin Aid offer as well???
Did u apply for Fin Aid?

I havent gotten any offer from the Financial aid dept, i have applied for aid and the amount of aid i get will really factor in to whether i attend or not

Congratulations! That's great news. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I agree with you, amagrosa . . . I wish there were more information for admitted students on the website. Seems pretty dismal.

i got admitted too

has anyone here visited the campus or knows more about their theatre dept?

Any ppl here who got admitted had applied for the DSS and got informed about it??

I did . . . I applied for DSS and got it . . . but I haven't been formally informed about it . . . Mr. Robert Martin (vice president of academic affairs and director of the music conservatory), who I have corresponded with, told me unofficially that I got it.

"Hey guys, out of curiousity -- what made you apply to Bard and what are the factors that would encourage you to choose it over another school (aside from financial considerations)?"

I guess what made me apply was a host of things like its creative reputation etc.

what might deter me from attending is if i get into a place with a slightly more bustling campus, some reason even though the bard campus seems so beautiful and alluring i guess im not too convinced that its bustling enough......i wish there was more information available

wmgan, can you please PM me the email address of Mr. Robert Martin??

actually i take back what i said about bard's campus not being bustling enough.....it was due to a lack of information

anyone get a mail from the financial aid dept yet

Nope!!!
I had sent some emails inquiring about the Fin Aid as well...but haven't got any reply yet!
I think someone had mentioned earlier that they will be sending their aid letters after about a week of the decisions???
Am I right???

What happened to the non-international applicants? Have they heard??

Yes I heard...waitlist for me. damn lol.

Awee...I am so sorry about that!!! Remain hopeful Rhapsody724....they might take u after some while!!! Be optimistic!! My best wishes for you!!!

Was it your top choice???

I'm trying to remain optimistic about it. I realize that they could've flat-out rejected me so this is obviously better. I really like Bard a lot and if they decide to take me, that's great but if not, that's ok too. Are you planning on attending?

Well....if the Fin aid offer is too good....I might start thinking about it...but I have got this 95% financials coverage offer from Kenyon... and I'm thinking of going there!! But if I get tht DSS....then it would certainly tempt me.

I just got my acceptance letter today. I'm so excited. I'll probably be going there. :)

Congratulations!!!!Chimaera!
they sent by regular postal mail or express mail?
