Awkward Situations

I don't. I duck out of awkward situations or just totally avoid them if at all possible.

I've only been in two "first date" type scenarios, but both were with guys I already knew pretty well and one was a double date with my best friend and her boyfriend, so neither really had much of an awkward point. With the first one I had my friend around to help and the second one I was comfortable enough with him that even the silences were nice and not awkward.

But anything else that seems like it might be awkward I just tend to avoid, and given that I am an extremely awkward person that's a lot of stuff. I don't really do social.

haha yeah I kind of laugh and say things under my breath that only make sense in my head which only adds to the awkwardness. Perhaps I should just keep my mouth closed during awkward moments

Awkward turtle?

^Yeah, I'd just look like a retard doing that.

I embrace the pause. And quickly transition to a different topic, find an excuse to leave OR comment on the awkwardness.

Start sweating profusely, and look away until she talks.

Avoiding eye contact works too... lol. Regardless of how confident you are, sometimes, it's just hard to look someone in the eyes during an awkward moment, esp if it's the opposite gender.

***, just relax and be urself dude

Agreed, acknowledge the fact that it's awkward. Do the awkward turtle. I personally like the sketchy clam.
