I am extremely sad at the moment. Based on how I’m doing I feel I’ll either get a B+ or A- in General chem when at my university you need an A or A+ to get a 4.0 gpa. I am a pre-med student and I know how important it is to get perfect scores. However, I’m halfway through the semester and I hardly get B on exams. My course is on a point system so getting an 80 out of 100 is a loss of 20 points each time. I have already taken 2 exams getting an 80 and 81 and have 2 more exams coming.
My problem:
I run out of time, I know what to do but my class is only 50 minutes long and I had such luck that I got the hardest general chem teacher She usually had 1 hr and 15 min blocks for chem so she makes her exams super long, and I just run out of time. Her exams are usually steps problems so one question will have about 5 parts and I want to make sure each part is correct or else the next will be wrong. (But of course this makes me lose time) How do you guys pace yourself? I really would like any tips you guys have, I need a 93% in the class to get an A so that means I have to get high A’s on the next exam.
