B.S. in computer science and masters in Computer Engineering?

Hello everyone, I am graduating in a few months with a BS in comp sci from a state school. I do think I have a job lined up which pays decent for any college grad(wouldn't complain). I want to work for a year and attend a bigger name uni for a masters program in Computer engineering or MSA(Analytics). I know you are not really supposed to use money as a motive, but I want to live a monterealy satisfying life.

My question is what kind of job can i possibly get with this duo of an undergrad degree in Computer Science and possible masters in one of the above. I hope to really make above 150K+ and my dad does make around 160 and he is Mechanical Engineer who works as ERP consultant.

Would companies like say Boieng or Lockheed look for people like me who are interested in developing models and software for their planes and numerous military projects.

Just curious, what do you consider an acceptable starting salary for entry level BS CS from a state school?

Analytics requires serious business know-how experience, not merely knowing the tools. Anyone can learn Business Objects or Cognos or Hadoop or what have you in a few weeks, but the money comes out of experience.

With a BS CS in most large companies one does not generally get enough responsibility early on to earn that kind of money. Not any more than in my days one would get an entry level job to write the next Visual Studio. With few exceptions (finance/wall st for example) and thanks to the pervasive nature of outsourcing, starting salaries aren’t as high as we’d like them, and are not adjusted as quickly as we’d like them unless we quit every other year. This creates other issues in itself so…

Disclaimer galore: I have 29 years experience writing software and designing user interfaces for a ‘large’ company. A lot of fun, but the pay is nowhere where it needs to be. But lots of fun and new stuff to learn, and so on.

Hello, I was given a 60K job right out of college.
I know that but what do you think about ERP? Which is not something I know about too much, just that my dad works for it and he gets offers of around 90 dollars an hour as contractor. I am asking what I could do with possible comination of CS and a CE albeit masters though.

I really would like to work for a military companies where there is job stability and of course high profile job.
