I was wondering what the job outlook for a ba in economics is. Due to the economy, it seems that business majors have gone down in demand. I was wondering what kind of job I can expect to get with a ba in economics immediately following graduation.

I actually read an article on Yahoo the other day about how business and engineering were the two colleges least affected by the recession on most campuses.

That said, an economics major is looking at the same jobs as business majors. Therefore, anything that hurts business jobs also hurts economics majors’ jobs. However, the key difference is that at practically every single university, the business program is harder to get into, more heavily recruited, and more likely to land you a top job than the economics program at the same university.
