<p>How often is this done? I know a lot of people say that their "safety" programs are BAs in Theatre and as i'm a junior i noticed that there arent many non-audition musical theatre programs, but i'm not really willing to give up the music part of the degree. Is this too much? especially for freshman year in college? </p>

<p>Check out McDaniel College. They have a BA program (it's a liberal arts college or LAC) with the ability to dual major. Whereas many other programs seem to have a major and minor (instead of a dual major). They do have a Theater Arts Major & Music dual major.</p>
<p>Muhlenberg is a school that is frequently mentioned for this. My D will be working towards a BA in theatre with minors in both music and dance.</p>
<p>My daughter will be going to James Madison with a major in MT and probably a minor in music (voice). Now, we'll see how that changes over time! But that's the current idea.</p>
