My DD took the PSAT and letters are coming from schools that I would think are directed to her based on her fit from her scores. I would think they would generally consider students that they send recruitment materials. I know with my son who recieved letters from al lthe ivies ( waitlisted) , they often do this jsut to get thier applicant pool up.

Is that the same for Babson? she would love to go there but they seem to have many students that target this school.

If your D checked the box on her PSAT materials indicating she would want to receive information from schools, then you’re right, that is most likely how she got herself onto Babson’s mailing list. That only means her PSAT score and the other information she self disclosed on her application collectively indicate she has a reasonable chance of achieving SAT scores that put her in range for consideration at Babson. Nothing more. By adding her to their mailing list they are not sending an unwritten message specifically to her about her chances of admission. To be a strong candidate for admission, she still needs to get solid SAT scores and the other aspects of her application need to be strong (especially rigor of her courses and grades).
