Back to School after 7 years of work

I received my B.S. in EE in 2006. Since that I joined an Oil & Gas company and I have been working with them as Electrical Project Engineer.

Recently, my company decided to send me for a Master Degree in EE. To be honest, I am a little afraid that I won't be able to finish the MS program since I have been away from school for more than 7 years.I have applied to couple of universities and I recently got admission offer from University of Colorado - Denver.

How hard is it goind to be?
Do I need to take some undergrad courses to refresh my memory?
How hard is UC-Denver?

thanks and I am looking forward to your comments/suggestions.

Depends on you and your work habits. While I didn’t work before grad school, I have some friends who did and they said that the hardest part was getting back into “school mode” - the wide ranging schedule (2 am all-nighters?!), the low income (perhaps not a problem for you if your job is paying!), remembering how to write papers and do problem sets, etc. I think it took about a semester of adjustment for most before they were pretty okay again.

Probably not. But that depends on how bad your memory is. For a hope spot, I took a cal II class after not having taken cal I for 10 years and it came back pretty easily, and I’m not a mathematician/STEM scientist and don’t do it every day.

No idea.

Thank you very much Juillet for your helpful response.
