Bad freshman year

I was aiming for a cumulative 3.7-4.0 gpa for freshman year. I ended up with a 3.31 first semester and a 3.4 second semester. This was way below my expectations. Additionally I recieved a C+ in Chemistry (general) this past semester. My other science classes have only been in the B range. Every other class has been in the A range (including Calculus and Stats).
Am I completely hurting my chances for dental school? Aiming for top 10 schools such as U. Michigan, UPenn, etc.

It really concerns me why I'm doing so badly in my science classes. I've always been a straight-A student in high school. My college is a flagship state school.

Just to clarify, the C+ and B’s and A’s that I talk about in my post are the grades I’ve received for freshman year only.
