Bad schedule

Hi I was enrolled in AP Chem but it was too hard so i dropped the class before a 5 week period so I made in time but i couldn't take AP Bio since it was too late so I am stuck in Honors Biology. I am disappointed in myself and in my schedule because I don't think I have the right classes to get into an Ivy league or another school like Stanford or Northwestern. I am planning to take more AP's my junior and senior year. What should I do? Here is my schedule:

H Math Analysis

H English 10

Dance

AP European History

Honors Biology

Honors Spanish 2 (Native)

Getting into HYP will not depend you whether or not you took AP Bio sophomore year. Keep your grades up, do well on your SATs and find some EC’s you love.

Well, your peers who will be applying to those sorts of schools are currently tackling tough courses such as AP Chem. You can only do what you can do. Don’t set yourself up for failure (targeting a very narrow list of schools) when it’s not determined whether or not you’ll be a legitimate candidate in a couple of years. Push yourself, take the hardest courses possible. Knock out ACT/SAT. See what colleges your achievement level match you to later. Good luck

Chem may be hard, but all those other kids are doing it that are applying to ivy league. It’s ok if you get a B in the class, its an AP class. You still have the opportunity to do well on the AP exam, which is what matters.
