<p>How much do extenuating circumstances help in one's admissions to top colleges (UChicago, Cornell, NYU, Dartmouth, JHU, CMU, etc). My main essay was about that and I sent 2 additional essays with one dealing with my passion for archaic medications, and the other to do with my current home situation(poverty). My stats are borderline for all these schools( see other posts thanks!). Do you think these additional essays and current situation will help? Thanks</p>
