I was looking at the NACAC list and noticed both Wilamette and Lewis & Clark still had a little space open for incoming freshman, and a lot to a little space for transfers. So, if anyone is still needing a college I can strongly recommend these two. I applied to Lewis & Clark and they have an excellent reputation here in the Pacific Northwest and Wilamette is very well known for its tie to the Oregon Capitol (its literally right across the street).

Anyway, I was just surprised to see these two on.

No, I don't think it's a reflection on the oregon schools, so much as just a general trend among colleges in general. Every year there are some surprises on that NACAC list. I think it is just a matter of the winds of where kids apply, which schools some kids pick as safety schools, and the number of schools kids apply to.

nods Probably. I was definitely surprised to see, especially Lewis & Clark on the list though. Its probably a good thing though, in the long run. As your other threads have pointed out, these are probably major good bet schools for next year. :D

Yep, Lewis & Clark was a surprise to me too. But happy news for my daughter who has it on her list for next year. In fact, three of the schools on her current list are also on the NACAC list.

Whitney, have you filled out your housing forms for Reed yet? You must be sooooo excited.

We were just at Willamette last week for state solo competition. A very pretty campus with a little stream running right through the middle. And, yes, with the capitol right there, a great place for someone studying government. Lewis and Clark is also in a great location, in the hills with a beautiful state park right nearby.

The housing info should be mailed out today. I am so excited! I've been watching the dates begging it to come early. Its weird too, it still hasn't fully hit me that I'll be attending there next year.

I'm just so happy for you Whitney. I was SO afraid you were going to end up at Linfield. Not that Linfield is a bad school, but it was clear to me just from your posts, the way you write, and how articulate you are, that Linfield wasn't going to be the right school for you. Best of luck to you --- please come back next year and let us know how you're doing at Reed.
