I am planning to attend UT with a finance major with pre-med because I am torn between what field I want to pursue later on in my career. I either want to become an investment banker or a sports-medicine physician. I want to use the next 4 years to learn more and make a concrete decision on what field I want to pursue. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? And is it possible to major in finance with pre med and still maintain an above average GPA with good extra-curriculars?
I have a friend who graduated with honors in finance and is now attending Baylor med school. I believe she took 5 years to obtain her undergrad, even while taking summer courses.
Thank you for posting, I am in the same situation. I am interested in pre-med and business and would like to go on the pre-med track while majoring in business but I worry that it will be too difficult. I am curious to see what others have to say. Thanks again!
