The dorm lottery just came out a couple days ago and it turns out I got Balch Hall. I am not extremely social but would like to make many friends (including guy friends). Should I pay the $100 for a room change (basically a dorm change)? Also if I do make a room change, will I have to accept it?
Although I’ve heard of its studious/calm reputation, it is definitely possible to make a lot of friends at Balch. I’d recommend contacting the Cornell Housing Office for correct information with regard to your second question.
