Bama ranked 3rd most valuable football program in the country

Forbes came out with their rankings of the value of football programs. Bama came in 3rd, 29 million behind Texas.

And look who’s at no. 4.

Indeed Slippy… I respect your love of LSU. Just because we support our children’s school, doesn’t mean we turn our back on our own. I have grown to love Bama and respect it as my son’s choice, feel the same way about FSU because of hubby (making for a very conflicted football season this year!)…but my heart belongs to Texas!

Does Forbes know those ND helmets are not made of real gold?

lol…the wording under the ND pic almost sounds like they won the BCS…

Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Team value: $117 million
Revenue: $78 million
Profit: $46 million
Conference: Independent
Head coach: Brian Kelly

Last year’s undefeated trip the BCS National Championship netted Notre Dame a direct BCS payout of more than $6 million. The Irish also hosted a seventh home game last year, up from six in 2011.

“and look who’s at no. 4”

Maybe Les will have new rings made saying #4 Nationally…

txdoula, my daughter got her acceptance letter from FSU today. They offered her a decent scholarship… half off the out-of-state tuition. She’s probably going to LSU, but this definitely brings FSU into the discussion.

So, slippy, just to clarify, in Louisiana, the number four still comes AFTER number three like the rest of the world, right? Or is there some weird Bayou math that the rest of us aren’t privy to?

DH noticed that the state of Alabama does not have a professional football team; however it does have the SEC so there’s no need for the NFL.
