i am a high school senior and i applied to barnard RD. i was wondering how barnard students are viewed by their peers at columbia? also, how do graduate schools and recruiters view graduates of barnard, or of a women’s college in general?

There are discussions about the Barnard-Columbia relationship on this board and the Columbia one as well. You'll find varying viewpoints. Although I'm just guessing, Barnard is a prestigious liberal arts school and coming from there probably gives you a good standing in the graduate world.

Coming from the most selective seven sister college and one of the best liberal arts schools in the country, you will definitely be viewed extremely well by graduate schools.

I always consider Barnard as one affiliated college to Columbia University.Columbia college used to be an all boys college too~

Barnard college is great in the science field, and I get the feel they are very progressive compared to some other schools set in their ways.
