Barnard supplement

Hi,
I’m applying to Barnard College, and a part of the first supplement question is: “How were you made aware of Barnard College?” Honestly, I first found out about Barnard when my best friend’s sister was accepted there–would it be a good idea to put her name in my response? If it’s relevant at all, she’s a senior at Barnard now.

Thank you :)

oh and one more thing. does anyone know if Barnard accepts extra recommendation letters? the director of the summer camp i worked at over the past three summers wrote me a recommendation, and i’d like to send it in addition to the 2 teacher and 1 guidance recs.

Since she’s not a relative, I don’t think it’ll be necessary to put her name down, but I can’t say for sure. To me, it’d seem like name dropping. Interested to see what others would say, though.

Yeah, they accept extra recs. Just make sure they each add something and don’t send fifteen.
