<p>I am having some trouble with the last supplemental essay for the Barnard application. It is: “C. Alumna and writer Anna Quindlen says that she “majored in unafraid” at Barnard. Tell us about a time when you majored in unafraid. (250 word limit)”. I don’t think I have ever had to be fearless, so what do I write about? I know no one here knows me, but if you could give me some ideas, maybe I’ll think of something. Thanks!</p>

<p>I went on an exchange trip about two summers ago to Germany for 8 weeks. It was the first time I was miles away from home by myself. Overcoming the fear of being alone and away from everyone I know. Would that be something that could work? </p>
