Barrett

Do most people like Barrett vs other “ivy” like schools?

My daughter is in civil engineering, at a STEM school that is about 75% male. She did not participate in robotics or any science or math clubs in high school. She didn’t even take calc until college. She’s fine. She does get frustrated with some of her male classmates because they aren’t organized. Whenever there is a group project, she’s always with 2 or 3 guys because that’s how the numbers work out. For the first year project, she was the first one to be certified by the ‘power tools’ people (don’t remember what it is called) and she did most of the project because she was certified and ready to go.

And if you think the numbers at school are lopsided, wait until you get to the working world. She worked in a small office this summer and the only other female was the office manager.
