<p>Well I did it, I ordered the 2002 edition of this book. It's written by a physics professor at Brown University who went to UPenn undergrad and got his PhD at Harvard. Don't know how much this attests to the difficulty of this book but it certainly does look like I can learn a lot.</p>
<p>Has anyone here self-studied using this? One of my friends who bought this a few weeks ago is almost done with kinematics in this book. From what I hear, the problems in this are beastly and all kinds of derivations are shown. At ~800 pages, this is more like a textbook than anything else...</p>
