Is a Bachelor’s of Applied Science considered inferior to a university Bachelor of Science?
I am a community college student and my college offers an Associate’s in Applied Science (AAS) degree in business management, that can then go into a 4 year business management degree also provided by the college. Given the courses I’ve already taken, I’m closer to the AAS business management degree than to a similar Associates of Arts and Sciences Business transfer degree. With the latter being transferable to a 4 year university, would it make sense to stick around for an additional quarter (or two) in college? Or should I just wrap up the AAS business management degree and start on the path to a BAS? My concern is the idea of an AAS/BAS being viewed inferior to a AS/BS. Thoughts?
