Anyone know what time (EST) the result will come out?
My friend who got in ED last year said that they send you a couple emails as the date approaches… like, “one more week!” or “in 24 hours decisions will be released.” Wondering when we’ll get some more info…
@penntennisball Hopefully we’ll get an email soon. Scared for the 20th!
My college counselor still thinks that we will be notified by the end of this week. The Bates campus store’s deadline for ordering merchandise for Christmas delivery is the 16th, and I think it is likely that they expect us to buy stuff from there after our acceptance letters come in, so we can have stuff for Christmas. Now this is just speculation, but I think there is a good chance we will hear back tomorrow or Friday. Every class in the past has been notified by the 15th.
If you look at last year’s thread, it was Saturday morning. But I like the Bookstore sales angle!!
The year prior was a Monday, so I don’t think there is much rhyme or reason timing-wise, unfortunately.
I’m betting Saturday y’all!!! Hopeful that we all get in…
Decisions are coming out on the 17th at 12 PM EDT
Got an email from Bates too about desicions on Saturday…I didn’t get my financial briefing as some of the applicants so i think i will get a rejection but who knows, what will happen…may the force be with all of us on the 17th
I wouldn’t be too worried about that. My college counselor says they sometimes come after the decision, so worrying about that will cause undue stress.
I know tons of current students and alums and most of them didn’t get financial briefings prior to the decision release… it’s only typical of international students…
So if an international student has not recieved financial briefing till now then is he surely rejected? (The international student being me)
@Livindlife I don’t know the answer to that. Don’t panic, there’s no sense in wasting your energy. I am not an international student so I have no idea, but just ask your guidance counselor I’m sure they’d know. All I know is that it’s the norm for domestic applicants to NOT receive any financial briefing prior to admittance.
@Livindlife Cool your head first. Do you really think there is such thing as “Financial Briefing” before the decision? Ask yourself who told you and can he be trusted? I mean come on!
P.S: I know who you are. Probably you may identify me as well
Well, as i expected…rejected international( Congratulations to accepted students!
hey how did everyone do?
Bates Class of 2021! Anyone else?
@Milli123 Congrats. Can you please tell me about stats. Your major? Are you an international student? I got deferred. I was expecting an acceptance.
One more thing did you sumbit your scores. Do you think they can accept a deferred student in regular admissions?
