Bates for Physics?

How is Bates’s physics department? Is it any good? I am interested in doing the 3-2 program at dartmouth or a college affiliated with Columbia, but I want to know how good the physics departments are at each school. The school’s that I am considering are:

Colby
Bates
Grinnell
Hamilton
Colgate
Bard
Whitman
Washington & Lee

My question is out of those colleges, which has the best Physics department and by the way Bard is my safety and Colby and Bates so far have been my top choices, and after I am done with the 3-2 program I want to work for an investment bank or consulting firm.

anyone???? someone please some insight?

I don't know any physics majors but I have heard good things about the physics department from a few of my friends who took classes for gen eds and BS requirements. These people weren't natural physicists as physics was not their main academic interest but they still learned a lot from the class. Bates is known to have good sciences so I would think that physics is pretty good here.
