What did it look like when you got your acceptance?
Also when did you submit your application?
Also if you don’t mind what were your stats?
They sent me an email that said “we have a special message for you in the goBaylor portal”. When I logged in, there was a photo of the football scoreboard that said “You’re accepted!”. I submitted my application on October 6th. As for my stats, I have a 1430 on the SAT, my weighted GPA is 4.7 and my unweighted GPA is 3.8.
But last week, a Baylor rep came to my school and she told me that they VERY rarely turn away any Single Choice Early Action applicants. She said that usually the worst that happens if that the SCEA applicant will be deferred to apply regular decision.
Does anyone know when they notify us about merit scholarships?
Hmmm…My DS applied in mid-August, was invited to and participated with the Distinguished Scholars Day, pretty strong stat’s and no update to his portal yet. Sigh…patience dad, patience.
@SgtFriar2015 - same for DD. Legacy family, applied SCEA, very competitive stats. Nothing. My other DD (twin) applied EA and got in. Don’t get it at all.
@KWimbs - I’d like to believe it’s just a function of system/account updates maybe going out in cycles? Anyone else out there heard anything (yes or “no change”)?
It seems to be very random… I applied the day the application opened and I haven’t heard back yet.
Does anybody have the Baylor ID on their application?
Yes it just popped up!
Does anyone know what that means?
Online it states briefly that it is unique for every student attending baylor, but I think this is just the user name to our Bear ID account. So it may not be anything special
Popped up on my D’s account too. I hope it is good news.
I do as well, but I would hate to be let down if it wasn’t.
I looked at another student’s application and he has it on there too. I wish I could know what it means though!
My DS has had the ID number for some time…just checked his account and no change. As a famous singer once said…“the waiting is the hardest part”.
Hi there, the one on my daughter’s account is a blank field…do you guys have an actual number in the field?
No I just want to know what it means.
