In the latest US News College Rankings (2007 edition), BC has jumped six spots to number 34, tied with NYU and U of Rochester.

They were ranked 29 overall for selectivity, and 20 for graduation and retention rate.

Finally, the recognition it deserves!

How did you get a hold of that information? I guess than next year it's going to rank 37 again. There's always a 3 ranks fluctuation with BC. But of course I'm hoping it will 31 instead.

Disclaimer:
Ranking is controversial, and should not be only criteria to judge a school. In all the heart of Eagle everywhere (except for the disgrunted one) BC is always Numero Uno.

The overall ranking is great news, but as a parent of an incoming freshman with four--count 'em four-- years of BC expenses ahead, I'm even more impressed with the graduation/retention rate.

Go Eagles!

Great news.

I figured they would move up because of the jump in applications and the drop in acceptance rate.

Can't believe our D is going to be a senior this year. She has loved it, and so have we--BC has been everything we hoped it would be for her. We'll probably still go to a football game or two even after she graduates!! Glad to see that people are realizing what a great school it is!
