<p>I received my topic outline for BC, and noticed some thing that were not in my review book ( newtons method, surface area). Are they BC topics or is my teacher adding them to make the class longer?</p>

<p>They could be additional topics…my BC class had a couple additional topics as well. Even though they may or may not be on the test, they’re usually interesting enough (for me, at least).</p>
<p>I don’t remember if Newton’s method appears on the AP test…it’s very easy to learn though. It basically approximates solutions to a differentiable function by using a recursion. A lot of textbooks cover Newton’s method, as well as surface area using integrals.</p>
