I applied to BC as undecided but recently have decided that I would like to go into Pre-Med.

I have not yet heard whether I have been admitted into BC or not but I was just wondering, is pre-med a program that I can just sign up for in the beginning of the year? Or did I have to apply to a specific school in BC? I put in my application that I was undecided but interested in journalism and health care. But recently I realized I’m more interested in pre-med :)

premed is not a major. It is not even a “program.” It’s just a list of classes that are required to apply to med school. You could major in any subject. That being said, you can sign up for premed advising at any college to which you are admitted. Fulfilling the premed requirements might be easier if you are in Arts & Sciences, as opposed to CSOM, which has its own requirements, but in the end it won’t much matter to med schools.

But they do have counseling and other assistance. You can find more details on the BC website under PreMed. In addition they have an EMT team that you can get involved in and get valuable experience while working on your degree.
