So I did terrible in high school (3.4 GPA) but I have done pretty good in college. I think I have a good chance but I don’t want to get my hopes up.
I have a 4.0/4.0 at GVSU right now with 35 credits earned. Here’s the classes I have taken:
Chemistry
Physics 1 (mechanics)
Physics 2 (E&M)
Calculus 2
Calculus 3
Differential Equations
Jazz History (LOL)
And some engineering classes
Anyways I was wondering if this is a good enough transcript to apply with or if I should take more English and history classes to be more well rounded.
Also would I have a better shot at applying to the LSA or the Engineering School?

So you look really good but transferring is competitive. You really want to make sure that your classes transfer to Michigan first and you met their requirements. They are very helpful and willing to go through this with you. A copy of your transcript would be the place to start. They are also very picky on what they accept to transfer. Don’t be surprised if your retaking a class.

Sorry, thought this engineering database was posted also.
Just taking a quick look doesn’t seem like the math courses fill their requirements for engineering. But again I would call and discuss. They have to fill both the math departments requirement plus the engineering requirements or you will just get university credit but not in your field of study.
Ah thanks, looks like you are right. I think I’m just gonna apply to the LSA. Honestly if I could even get into freaking photography at Michigan I would take it.
Probably gonna apply to Michigan Tech as a safety
Congratulations on 4 pointing in college. Follow @knowstuff 's advice and good luck. A cursory review makes me optimistic about your chances.
I think your decision to apply to LSA is smart. I’d guess there are at least a few GVSU students that successfully transfer into UM every year, and if that is the case, I’d give you very good chances of getting in since you have a 4.0 in very difficult classes and would be a better candidate than a vast majority of your GVSU peers.
@laker4444 “Honestly if I could even get into freaking photography at Michigan I would take it.”
I was half expecting an angry rant from a photography major about how it is the toughest major at M. Lol
It looks like you are doing well and have a solid shot. Good luck!
