Hello all,
I applied to UC and my guidance counselor sent in all the forms about 3 weeks ago. I logged into my Bearcat VIP account and I see this:

"Congratulations! You have been offered admission to the PBA program in the 22. Your next step is to confirm your admission. If you don't wish to do so online, you can use the paper form that was mailed with your offer of admission.

After you confirm, you can:

* reserve campus housing
* sign up for orientation
* accept your financial aid award offer

If you have any questions, give us a call at 513-556-1100 or come for a visit."

As soon as I see this, I am very excited, but then I realize a few things; I never received an acceptance letter nor an email, and when I tried to confirm my acceptance, this comes up:

"We are unable to confirm your login information. Please try to login again.
If the problem persists, please contact the Office of Admissions for assistance at (513) 556-1100. Thank you."

I emailed UC and have yet to receive a response, and I figured that this would be the most direct way to receive an answer. Have any of you ever encountered this before? It seems it would be a very strange error to tell someone they were accepted then they really weren't, but it is also strange how I have yet to receive a letter saying I was accepted and that I cannot confirm admission via the website.

orange - Congrats! The number given for the Admissions Dept. is also the Bearcat One Stop number. The OneStop sevice is a rather all encompassing effort for students that will obviously get very busy and therefore sometimes it's hard to get through. I strongly suggest you go to the UC website, http://www.uc.edu/ , get resourceful and contact either any one of the Admissions Officers (who will at the very least confirm your status and hint, you'll also be able to learn who is your designated admissions rep) or you can contact the program office for which you were accepted. When we didn't reach someone right away, ALL of our messeges were responded to. We were able to learn a great deal this way and had great success with the direct contact. They were all very helpful and looked to make our first year experience as smooth as possible.

We also had no problems with the site,but I have heard of people who have problems similar to your. I think it has something to do with the pop up blocker and/or anti-spyware. If you can't access the web site, call up UC. They have always been very helpful.

Congradulations! I've been accepted there as well, though I was notified by mail. I never received an email, though the same information that was in my letter was also online. Do you think maybe it's a password or email problem?

Congrats on your acceptance folks. If you are having problems with the web, call UC. They are very helpful once you get a hold of the right person.
