I'm looking through my personal BearFacts profile. I am currently a freshman. What does this mean? Am I at a sophomore, freshman, or junior level?

Education Level SOPHOMORE
Non-AP Level FRESHMAN
Future (Telebears) Level JUNIOR

Also, last semester it was listed as Sophomore, Sophomore, Junior … what happened?

Haha mine says exactly the same thing: Sophomore, Freshman, Junior.

I think it means that without taking AP classes into account, we have taken less than 30 units (this probably doesn’t count our classes for this current semester), which is freshman level. Taking AP classes into account (but not the classes for this current semester), we have between 30 and 60 units, which is sophomore level. And then taking into account AP classes AND the classes for this current semester, we have more than 60 units, enough for junior level.

That’s my understanding.

You are considered to be at a Sophomore level.

The non-AP level just says which level you’d be at without AP courses, and that’s mainly used to determine qualifications for upper-division on-campus housing as well as certain EAP requirements.

The future Telebears level is used to determine your level when signing up for courses on Telebears. This is a separate category because course registration happens before everything else applies.
