<p>antarius - that would be really cool to be from india and go to school at rice. the flying would suck though since i imagine you would have to go back home 3 or 4 times a year and each flight is 20 hours long!</p>
<p>UT is ranked so high bc it has around 50,000 students so theres more slack given to them when compared to Rice, with a student population a little less than 3,000. I guarantee you, that of that 25,00 (UT is about 50/50 boy/girl ratio) more than 3,000 of them are butt ugly. rice does have some seriously hot girls though, i guess it matters the crowd you hang out with, but at rice the hot grls are also SMART as balls.</p>
<p>jjjj, thats true, depends on how often I go home. I have relatives in Boston area and california though. As for 20 hour flights, I cant tire from flying, its awesome fun...</p>

<p>it doesnt matter to me because i am going there for the academics and to go to medical school later, but alot of people consider that and i understand why. one must balance academics with a love life and physical attraction is important for alot of people. there is hot girls in every college...dont be scared...can you approach them though? are you confident? can you compete against the other guys trying to get them? that is the questions...</p>
<p>Gosh, you make getting a girlfriend uber complicated and difficult. As a native H-Town'ian, I can definitely attest to the dating scene. There are several universities/colleges in Houston--St. Thomas is right by Rice, Houston Baptist is near by and then you still have all of your community colleges. Mmm...As well as UH girls...I wouldn't say they have the hottest study body...Probably the biggest. But like an earlier poster said, you're going to be living in Houston. Out of the millions of people who call H-Town home, there's sure to be a few people...Or somebody anyways...It's just a numbers game. C'mon, it's not like Rice is in North Dakota!</p>
<p>Well i had to say...i would say UH has hotter girls than saint thomas because i have gone there and visited and done the tour...gone there for conferences and thigns. UH is a much bigger school so it has more hot girls. i went to their huge workout facility which is very nice and even has an inside track and i saw many beautiful girls, but as she said in houston you will not have trouble finding the girl you want dude...it is a very big city and there is many. so dont worry about rice...there is always good looking girls in everyschool and the ones at rice will be smart!</p>

<p>Just wanted to point out that you are probably not going to get into a relationship with someone outside of Rice unless you are from Houston and you knew that person in HS. I don't know anyone here who is dating someone outside of Rice... Okay, I take that back. I know a guy who dated a girl at UH for a couple of weeks. </p>
<p>I heard this from someone this morning, and I thought it was really funny (an exaggeration, but still funny) "Nine out of ten girls in Texas are hot, the tenth goes to Rice."</p>
<p>On average, I would say the girls here are a 6, but there are definitely some nines and probably an equal number of twos. Is ten the highest, and one the lowest? I will say this about Rice girls, almost all of the girls that I have met here have been really kind and genuine. Rice girls might not be the prettiest, but they are really great people and most are smart (don't think that just because they go to Rice they are automatically geniuses... I have met my fair share of... not-so-smart people)</p>

<p>Worry on making yourself appealing and able to get hot girls instead of getting a college with lots of em because that essentially means there is even less for your ugly ass (if you are =P)</p>

<p>I am just going to throw this out there. I was talking to a female friend about this during Owl Weekend and we both agreed that the prospies all seem to be much better looking than the student body as a whole. We aren't sure why this is. Possibly the better looking students decide not to come to Rice for some reason, or when they come to Rice, they don''t appear as attractive... Again, not sure why everyone seems to think that the owls are better looking than the actual students, but that does seem to be the consensus here.</p>
