Can anyone tell me if a Major in Behavioral Neuroscience (Biopsychology) is good if one has ambitions to go to medical school???

Anything can be a good major for applying to medical school. The required courses for admission to medical school will be covered by the requirements for nearly all biomedical science majors. Your specific major will determine what professors you interact with, what labs you can work in (though you can apply for labs outside of your department) and what advanced coursework you take. It is unlikely that selecting a major in the sciences before you have taken gen chem, organic chem, analytical chem, biochem, biology, physics and calculus will have any bearing on what classes you take. In fact, I would suggest that you just be aware of what majors exist for the first couple of years and take the common prereqs for them all. It will give you a chance to see what the departments are like with an open mind.

you can major in anything you want and go to medical school, whether it's biology, chemistry, biopsychology or history, political science, or english. The only things required to apply to medical school are that you complete the premed requirements, take the MCAT, get recommendations, then apply! The premed requirements are:

1 year of General Biology
1 year of General Chemistry
1 year of General Physics
1 year of Organic Chemistry
1 year of English
1 semester to 1 year of Mathematics

So yes, a major in biopsychology is good, as long as you know you can perform well in it (aka get a high GPA). Major in what you love, and complete the pre-med requirements as well. I've known a linguistics major that goes to UChiago Med, an econ major @ Gtown Med, a finance major currently applying, etc. Remember, major doesn't matter, medical schools don't prefer science majors over humanities or social science majors.
