being in a single room

hello,

at my college when we come back from thanksgiving break my room mate has requested to be put in a single room for various reasons, so that means i am going to be in the room we have now by myself. the problem is that i really don't think i can stand being in a single. i grew up doing a lot of various things by myself as an only child, and when i got to college i was so excited to have a room mate and have really enjoyed having one thus far. i really don't think that i can go back to having my own room without going insane- should i do anything about this or just live with it?

ohh poor wishmunkk…:(

They may very well assign someone else to your room. Spend more time out and about if you get lonely, and just be patient and someone will probably move in.

I honestly don’t see anything wrong with a single room. I’m gonna assume you’re living in a dorm hall so you’ll still have people to talk with.

Talk to your Res life. My roommate transferred out so right now I do not have a roommate, however I am looking for one and they are being very accommodating.

You’ll probably end up getting a new roommate. But even if you don’t (lucky) just get out of your room more…or invite people in if you’re such a homebody. XD In a dorm, you’re not really ever in a “single” because you share an entire floor with tons of other kids anyway.
