So in the Stanford Essay on intellectual vitality, I talk about myself as a devout globalist, and break down my thinking behind why I think this way. Someone who read it thought it was pretentious and close-minded, but others thought it was excellent. So I guess my question is- is it okay to be opinionated, as long as you explain your reasoning?
