Should I take 5 APs just so that I can be valedictorian?

Take 5 AP's because you want to learn and think more. Not because you want a title that no one remembers or mentions in college.

Yes; a high GPA can help (not entirely guarantee) admission to a better college. Doing well in all five classes may indicate skill/talent/dedication in not just one subject area, but many. Everyone who is in the top ten in my high school has 5 or more AP/IB classes.

I say do it. If I could be valedictorian just by taking 5 AP classes...I would so do it.

My uncle remembers that he was valedictorian in HS, and he has Alzheimer's.

Frankly, in terms of increasing your chances to get into college, yes. Sorry, I just felt this thread was getting...you know...repetitive.

I remembered I wanted to take 5 AP's and become valedictorian. But then I cheated, and my mom got scared and said you're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air.

I whistled for a cab, and when it came near,
The license plate said "fresh" and it had dice in the mirror.
If anything I could say that this cat was rare,
But I thought "Nah forget it, Yo home to Bel Air."

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight,
and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes, smell ya later."
Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there,
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

hahahah I love how I started that trend.
